Check This Out: Leopard Nails

Hey guys! Today I'm going to share how to make awesome leopard nails! I know the tutorial says cheetah, but it's really leopard. Have fun trying it out!

You'll Need:
Two different colored nail polishes (you can use any colors you want, the gold and black in the tutorial just makes it look like actual leopard spots)
A toothpick

< You can either make small spots, or larger spots like in this picture.

Now you don't want your leopard spots to all look the same, and you don't want them to be exact circles or oval either. Also, make sure you flatten the tip of your toothpick like in step one! This will make shaping the spots much easier. One more thing - use opposite ends of the toothpick when switching colors, obviously, so the nail polish won't mix together.

Check This Out: Heart Nails

I don't really have much to explain about this except follow the directions to get these layered heart nails! The picture is very detailed and doesn't leave any steps out. Use these sturdying hole stickers to give your hearts shape. Layer the two stickers on your nail a bit, trying to get them as centered as possible. Let me know how this worked out for you in the comments below, thanks!

Check This Out: Tips for Long Hair

Hey guys, today I'm going to help you with growing out your hair.

When you take really good care of your hair, it will reward you by growing mega-long!

The first thing that you really want to do is treat your hair with protein.Thankfully, you don't have to use any protein-filled fish or anything to do this! Splits, tangles, and tugging can sabotage new growth. Use a leave-in treatment that protects your locks so they don't break off. I recommend using Redken Extreme Anti-Snap Leave-In Treatment to strengthen your hair.

Another thing that will really help your hair growth is using a single-pass flat-iron. Going over your hair too many times can fry delicate ends - and you'll have to cut them off more frequently! Go for a one-pass iron that heats up fast and straightens hair evenly and safely.

My last tip for today is to use split-end cream. Tattered ends can actually split all the way up the hair strands, making your whole head of hair look damaged and frayed. A moisturizing cream made specifically for splits helps to bind together frayed ends so they don't get worse. For this I suggest Pantene Split End Repair Créme, making sure you get the right version of the product to match your hair type.

Hope this helped! Bye

Hairstyles: Polished High Pony

This hairstyle is great for both hanging around or going out! Plus its super quick and easy!

You'll Need:
Recommended: Anti-frizz serum (I prefer using Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum)

Here's how easy this cool style is:

1. Fasten your hair on top of your crown with an elastic band.
2. Take a small section from the tail and wrap it around the base to conceal your elastic.
3. Run the flat-iron over the ponytail a few times.
4. If desired, smooth on an anti-frizz serum for a super-sleek style.

Hairstyles: Wild Texture Pony

Today I'm going to tell you one way to pump up your everyday ponytail. For fun Friday or Saturday nights, your hairstyle needs to match!

You'll need:
A texturizing wax spray (I recommend Redken Wax Blast 10)

Start off by spritzing the texturizing wax spray through dry hair. Tousle your hair, making sure to get most of your hair with the wax spray. Then pull your hair straight back into a ponytail, leaving extra lift in front. Lastly, use a brush to tease the pony for awesome volume.

And you're done! Pretty easy, huh?

YouTube Channel: Bebexo

Hey guys! So I found this girl's channel on YouTube about a week ago and subscribed immediately! She puts up videos of really pretty and surprisingly easy hairstyles all the time. I've already worn a couple of her styles to school and plan on trying them on my friends, too. Many of the styles work well with long hair, but they are do-able with medium-length hair like my own as well (my hair is about 3 inches past my shoulders, but I'm growing it out so its super long for Spring & Summer!).

Here's the link, feel free to check it out! Seriously, it's pretty awesome.

DIY: Lush Lashes!

Become a pro at fake lashes with these simple steps. Make your lashes longer and fuller with the blink of an eye!

How To Get Your Lushest Lashes Ever!

You'll Need:
Eyelash curler
Small scissors
Fake lashes
Adhesive (if it doesn't come with the lashes)
Volumizing mascara (I recommend using Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express)

1. Curl -
Clamp you eyelash curler firmly at the root of your lashes. Pump the curler up the length of your lashes to get a soft curve.
2. Measure -
Hold the strip of lashes up to your lashline. With your finger, mark the part that's too long, then use tiny scissors to cut the strip to size.
3. Apply -
Put a drop of eyelash adhesive on the back of your hand and run the top of the strip through it. Wait 30 seconds for it to become tacky.
4. Align -
With the tweezers, line the false lashes up with your lashline. Get as close to the roots as possible for the most natural results.
5. Dry -
Use the back end of your tweezers to press the strip into your lashline and hold in place for about 30 seconds until dry.
6. Volumize -
Finish this awesome look by swiping on a volumizing mascara - one coat on top lashes to blend and one on the bottom to frame your eyes.

Quick Tip: Instant Volume

No time for proper styling? Here's a quick way to give your hair instant bounce and volume in less than 10 minutes!

First, spray flexible-hold hairspray on a flat, paddle brush and run it through your hair. Next, gather your hair into two loose buns. Leave the buns in for 8 minutes. Finally, take them down and shake out your hair. All done! Easy right?

Quick Tip: Smoky Eyes

Hey guys, today I'm going to share a step-by-step post on...

How To Get The Perfect Smoky Eye

Start off with a clean, bare eye.

Step 1: Apply a lighter shade as a base lid color (I like to use a light pink usually).
Step 2: Then using an angled defining brush, apply a few coats of a dark color such as brown, gray, or black from the outer corner to the middle of your lid.
Step 3: Define your eye by outlining the same dark shadow on your upper and lower lash line. Blend.
Step 4: Add drama and finish your smoky eye with lengthening mascara (I prefer using Maybelline the Falsies Volum' Express). Lightly apply from root to tip on bottom and top lashes until you reach your desired look. Do not let it dry between coats.

Hairstyles: Glam Volume Bun

A little lift can take a normal bun from flat to flirty with a few simple steps!

Teasing brush
TRESemmé Finishing Spray

First, gather the top section of your hair and tease it for volume. Then pull all your hair back into a low bun, keeping the sides tight while leaving the top a little loose. Adding a little finishing spray will fight against static, humidity, and UV rays that can damage your hair. Plus, it acts like a hairspray and will keep your bun looking perfect all day!

Hairstyles: Soft Texture Updo

This hairstyle is perfect for date night and its super simple! Straight from Rachel Zoe's Fashion Week show, this slightly disheveled updo has just the right amount of romance.

Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Define & Hold Créme
Small-barreled curling iron

First, scrunch the curl créme into your hair, preferably when it's wet, and dry with a diffuser to get soft texture. Then, for a flirty touch, middle-part your hair. Lastly, pull it back into a low, messy bun, leaving a few face-framing pieces out in front. Curling the left-out pieces is optional, but its a nice touch.

Quick Tip: Shaving!

Tips for the perfect shave:

~Shower for at least 3 minutes. It will soften the hair, making it easier to remove. (Don't wait until the end of your shower to shave. Hot water makes your legs swell and more prone to nicks.)
~Use shave cream as a guide so you don't go over the same spots and cause irritation.
~Hold the handle near the head of the razor to control the pressure - be gentle!
~Shave from the ankle up and go against the growth of the hair for the closest shave. Use long, even strokes. (To avoid cuts on the tricky parts, point your toe when you go over your knees and flex your foot to get your ankles.)
~Pat your legs dry with a towel after your shower. Rubbing can irritate freshly shaved skin.
~Avoid lotions that list alcohol as a main ingredient - it will sting any little cuts you get! (If you do get a nick, apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly to stop the bleeding and help it heal.)

Quick Tip: Cat-Eye Makeup

Black kohl pencil is key! The trick to getting the angled shape is to look directly into the mirror and draw a thick straight line across your lids. Then, adding a swipe of pearl-colored shadow over the liner softens the look.

Hairstyles: Headband Waves

Hey, so today I'm going to show you guys a really cool and easy way to make perfect, natural-looking waves with your hair. Instead of spending so much time in the morning spraying your hair and loading it up with gel in order to try and make your hair wavy, just try this out:

How To Make Your Hair Perfectly Wavy

You'll need:
Thin elastic headband...that's it!

1. Dampen your hair slightly.
2. Put the elastic headband on your head, partly on your forehead.
3. Grab a medium-sized section of your hair and twist it away from your face.
4. Loop the twisted section around the headband once.
5. Add some hair to the strand and twist it in. Loop again.
6. Repeat until you get to the back of your head, then start on the other side. After repeating the same steps as above, your hair will meet in the middle like the 2nd slide of the picture.
7. Spitz your hair with water before going to bed and getting a good night's sleep.
8. In the morning, take the headband off when you wake up and run your fingers through. The curls will relax in a few minutes.
Voila! Natural-looking curls - and you've saved some time the next morning!

DIY Matte Nail Polish

Hola! Sorry it has been a few days - I was hoping to post every other day, but I was overloaded with homework this week! It happens I guess, but feel free to try this out:

How To Make Your Own Matte Nail Polish

You'll need:
Clear nail polish
Eyeshadow (has to be in powder form)
Small bowl or container for storage

It's actually pretty easy with only two steps:

All you have to do is equally combine the eyeshadow and the clear nail polish. Putting your new matte nail polish in a small bowl or container with a lid will make it easier to use it more than once. You can use the brush to another bottle of nail polish to apply it, but make sure you clean the brush before and after usage.

DIY Tank Tops

Okay so my first official post is going to be about how to make your own  tank top out of an ordinary shirt.

The first step is to cut the shirt in areas shown above, taking out the neck, sleeves, and bottom. Then flip the 'shirt' over and tie the sleeve holes together in the back. Using ribbon like as shown is a cool alternative to string or even thread.
Finally, to soften the newly cut edges, gently pull the material slightly.
And voila! You've made a cute, original tank top. Using shirts that have been tie-dyed or have designs on them is also a unique touch.

Hey guys, so I made this blog a while ago, but I'm actually going to start posting now. Just as an intro, my name is Kelly and one major thing about me is that I absolutely LOVE anything zebra. Another thing would be that I have recently gotten addicted to Pinterest. At the bottom of this page is a link if you want to check out my Pinterest Board.
One thing that I love to do in my spare time is to sketch fashion designs, especially dresses and shirts/blouses. Maybe I will post some of them from time to time, but if I make anything that I design, pictures will definitely be put up.
I'm hoping to post fashion, makeup, and hair advice/tips as much as I can so check my blog often to see what's new! I also will add some creative and useful how-to posts with step-by-step instructions.
Thanks in advance for following!
Kelly xoxo
