Tips for the perfect shave:
~Shower for at least 3 minutes. It will soften the hair, making it easier to remove. (Don't wait until the end of your shower to shave. Hot water makes your legs swell and more prone to nicks.)
~Use shave cream as a guide so you don't go over the same spots and cause irritation.
~Hold the handle near the head of the razor to control the pressure - be gentle!
~Shave from the ankle up and go against the growth of the hair for the closest shave. Use long, even strokes. (To avoid cuts on the tricky parts, point your toe when you go over your knees and flex your foot to get your ankles.)
~Pat your legs dry with a towel after your shower. Rubbing can irritate freshly shaved skin.
~Avoid lotions that list alcohol as a main ingredient - it will sting any little cuts you get! (If you do get a nick, apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly to stop the bleeding and help it heal.)
